How it works
What do we do for you?
If you’ve done a DNA test and need help understanding your results, our genealogists are ready to assist. We provide services to build your family tree and identify DNA connections.
DNA tests and their results can be quite complex to conduct and interpret. We can guide you through the testing process and help you take control of your results, making them as simple as possible to understand.

Family Tree
Ultimately, an accurate family tree is the result of your DNA findings. We begin building the tree with the information you currently have and then expand it using your DNA results.

Adoptees
Many adoptees turn to online DNA tests to identify their biological parents. While some find a direct parental match, for those who don’t, we specialize in analyzing DNA results to trace both maternal and paternal sides. We handle these projects with great discretion and often achieve success without disrupting families.

Non-Paternity Event (NPE)
Non-Paternity Event or, Not Parent Expected is when an individual’s presumed father is not in fact their biological father. The DNA results will contain unknown relatives and lack any connections to the presumed father’s side. We have been very successful in helping clients decipher the mystery.

Long Lost Relatives
Families often become scattered across the globe, especially in earlier generations. They may have lost contact, leaving the current generation unaware of their relatives. By using DNA matches from your results and your family tree, we can trace families that moved overseas or remained in their homeland.
Specializing in the United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, and Canada, we have access to extensive databases of records in all these countries. We verify all close relatives and utilize newspaper archives in the United Kingdom, USA, and Canada to truly bring your ancestors to life.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST
A Flexible Approach to Project Size and Cost
We provide comprehensive genealogy services, helping you trace your ancestors and offering both digital and printed records for you and your family. The scope of each project depends on the available information. Before starting, we create a plan outlining the expected results and agree on a price.
However, we understand that some customers may only need specific details about a relative. At DNA Family Discoveries, we handle projects of any size, even those as short as 30 minutes. We track our time accurately, so you’ll know exactly what we worked on. If your project takes 45 minutes, that’s all you’ll be charged for. Our rate is £50/hr ($70/hr), and we work quickly to accomplish a lot within an hour.

Odds of Success.
Creating a complete family tree spanning many generations or solving parentage cases isn’t always achievable. It depends a lot on the available records and the proximity of DNA matches. However, we’ve successfully tackled many challenging projects. Check out what our clients have shared about their experiences.

I decided to take a DNA test to trace my birth parents. I was able to track my mother back to Scotland, but on my father’s side, the closest matches were second cousins once removed. It took some time, but DNA Family Discoveries eventually identified my father and provided me with a complete report on his family.
Jean, Adoptee from London, United Kingdom

My dad died when I was young, so I never got the chance to ask him about his family. I only knew that his parents were Irish. DNA Family Discoveries really did a fantastic job in building my tree. I had no idea that my grandfather was from Liverpool.
As a bonus, a long lost uncle was discovered. He had been put up for adoption in the 50s.
Mark, client looking for long lost relatives
from Lambeth, London, United Kingdom

I had no reason to believe that my father was not my father, so it came as a big shock when my DNA test revealed first and second cousins that I had no idea who they were. To avoid upsetting my family, I employed DNA Family Discoveries to build a family tree from my new found family to try and identify my biological father, and they did. Turns out that he was my mother’s boss at a bar she worked in back in the 60s.
